About
Mark was born and mostly raised in Ottawa, Canada. He studied fine art at Canterbury High School and continued on to complete a Bachelor of Industrial Design at Carleton University. The 5 years following graduation he spent working as a product designer in both large in-house design teams and in the small consultancy environment.
After a lengthy hiatus from painting, Mark rediscovered the long neglected passion. Since 2006, his hunger to paint has only grown. He is deep in the process of assembling a series of works that will make up his first solo show.
Mark currently spends most of his time in a cottage somewhere west of Ottawa on Highway 7. Free from the sights, sounds and vices of the city life, he’s able to explore a variety of creative endeavours.

Madness!
A fundraising event I recently did a couple paintings for. Turned out to be a good time benefitting a great cause. Lots of quality work by local artists, free flowing martinis and a ridiculously good looking crowd. Shout out to Jonny B for getting me involved. If you missed it this year, make sure to check it out in 2010. I'll post some pics of the paintings as soon as I take the photos.

Here`s the T I did for the 'Machine Wash Cold - Tumble Dry Low' apparel exhibition. If you`re a fan of it, you can pick one up from the Moniker Designs Online Store. Either way the store is worth a visit. There`s a nice selection of screenprinted goodies by local and international artists.
